Teachers
This website was developed to focus on a pressing concern across all sectors of the construction industry: a looming large scale shortage of workers in the trades and technical careers. We intend to provide educators with consistent support and information to help you help your students make informed career choices.

You are one of our most important allies in recruiting the next generation of construction professionals. We use the word professionals very intentionally because the industry is composed of highly trained and expertly skilled workers who do a huge variety of tasks. Construction is a well paid and demanding career path, not a dead end dumping ground for underachievers. (Go to our construction myths buster page)

As an industry we are working very hard to get the word out that construction offers today's students a viable and rewarding career. That's right a CAREER, not just a job!

What we do to help you encourage students to seriously consider construction as a career path:

  • Work with High Schools to improve and expand their construction related Career and Technical Education programs
  • Provide High School Math and CTE teachers with Summer Construction Math workshops at top quality construction training centers
  • Career Fair Participation at High Schools and Community Colleges
  • Provide quality on-line information and curriculum resources to Washington State educators
