Educational Grants

Educational Grants Program                                                               

The AGC Education Foundation Educational Grants program provides support to schools and programs which:

  • Promote academic and technical training in construction
  • Raise awareness of construction career in grades K-12
  • Support outreach which addresses construction industry workforce development issues 
Priority is given to grant proposals that encourage careers in construction, make effective use of volunteers and/or matching funds, and create a positive impact on construction workforce issues in Washington State.

School and Program Grant Topics                                                     

The AGC Education Foundation awarded over $44,500 in grant assistance for 2008-2009.

AGC Education Foundation educational grants support the funding of:

  • High school shop equipment, materials and safety gear
  • Student textbooks and supplies
  • Summer internships for teachers
  • Resource guides for teachers
  • Career workshops for women
  • Construction research and education
  • Student construction competition participation
  • Community outreach for construction career awareness
