In 1980, the Associated General Contractors responded to the growing demand from construction industry representatives for highly educated and skilled professionals through the establishment of a non-profit education foundation.
The AGC Education Foundation seeks to promote careers in construction and to provide educational opportunities for industry professionals. For the past twenty-eight years, we have been located in the AGC Building on beautiful Lake Union in Seattle, Washington.
Today, the construction industry faces a shortage of qualified project managers, engineers, and skilled craft individuals. The complexion of the industry is changing fast. The contractors of tomorrow will require high levels of education and a diversity of skills. Management experience, human resource training, technological expertise, and environmental issues are just a few of the areas in which construction professionals will need to succeed.
